Hello! I’m Leigh-Ann, a nursing student who loves learning and trying new things. I’m new to traditional eating, but not to nutrition. I’ve always been interested in eating what’s best, but because of the main-stream nutritional recommendations (low/no-fat, lots of soy and carbohydrates), I had struggled with staying healthy: between eternal acne, crippling headaches and near-chronic fatigue, I figured something must be amiss.

Then I took an e-course through The Nourishing Gourmet and began to re-learn everything I thought nutrition was. At first, I was skeptical, but as I tried the things taught in the class, I began to feel remarkably better. Nearly all of the problems I had experienced before trying the “traditional” way of doing things completely disappeared or lessened considerably.

I’m always learning and growing, so this blog essentially records my trials and errors in figuring this new world out. I hope to discover and offer some helpful tips and tricks along the way, and I hope, in some small way, to inspire you too.
